Traveling is our life!! With this website we want to share our raw and honest encounters of life on the road. We aspire to inspire others to live a minimalistic lifestyle and to save for experiences that matter, not stuff. Volunteering with Workaway has allowed us to travel longer and have more meaningful interactions with each new country we visit. Travel can be overwhelming. You’re out of your normal routine, jet lag wears you down and the airlines don’t make it easy on us. It can be very hard to maintain balance and a sense of peace.

The ugly ego!! It rears it’s ugly head in and out of our lives and never gives up!!
The ego reminds me of the time we witnessed a traditional Spanish bull fight. During the course of the fight, the bull was impaled in the middle of his back by multiple banderillas (barbed sticks). At one point, the bull was covered in blood, had a sword sticking out of it’s shoulder blades and it still kept fighting. The bull fell to it’s knees several times and kept getting back up. Ahhh….how we love India and Sri Lanka. The people are incredible, the food is delicious, and the culture is vibrant. However, these countries are just as challenging as they are beautiful. It’s not always easy traveling long term and some countries are tougher to travel to than others. During this trip, we learned that traveling is a privilege and can be a challenging. Traveling to Southwest Asia helped us understand just how lucky we really are. Read More
